Red Line Lizard Tetra
Remarks: Red Line Lizard Tetras (Iguanodectes geisleri), sometimes referred to as Slender Tetras, are torpedo-shaped characins with a golden body color with three stripes along their flanks: red, green, and black. They look best when kept in groups of 6 or more, and they will make great tankmates for most South American cichlids such as Angelfish or Geophagus. Some reports indicate they are fairly herbivorous and will eat aquarium plants, but there are other reports that contradict this. Large-leaved plants such as Swords and Cryptocorynes should be safe, but fine-leaved plants such as Rotala may be nibbled.
