Leopard Bushfish

Remarks: Leopard bushfish (Ctenopoma acutirostre) are a fairly peaceful "oddball" in the aquarium trade so long as their tankmates are not small enough to swallow. That being said, it is good to keep in mind the mouths of these fish can open almost as wide as they are tall. Though they are predatory by nature, they can easily be weaned onto prepared foods without fuss. They are tan-brown colored with large dark spots covering their body and fins. They prefer dimly lit tanks and may remain hidden in the dark corners of a tank, but you will certainly see them come feeding time!
