Remarks: Scarlet Bettas (Betta coccina) are small, peaceful Bettas that prefer to be kept in dark tanks with plenty of cover and little to no water movement. They are a beautiful burgundy-red color with an iridescent blue spot on their flanks and long, extended fins. Their bodies are very slender, unlike many common Betta species. They do well in small tanks with schools of peaceful rasboras.
