


Nova Blue Longnose
Remarks: This rare Haplochromine is new to the hobby, having just been imported a few years ago. As the common name indicates, the Nova Blue Longnose has a long nose, even for a member of the Otopharynx genus. It is also rather large, growing to 8-9” upon maturity.
When in appropriate conditions, males are a vibrant blue with yellow fins. Females remain mostly gray but can show some blue tint.
