Moanda Jewel Cichlid
Remarks: Hemichromis sp. "Moanda" is an undescribed species of Jewel Cichlid. Their pale pink bodies turn bright red during mating, and the tiny blue iridescent spots on each scale shine in the light. These fish, unlike other Hemichromis, are not very aggressive outside of breeding mode. They will work well in a 55 gallon tank or larger with large African tetras and Synodontis catfish. An established pair can be kept in a 30 gallon tank, but plenty of cover should be provided, should one of the two decide to attack the other.
