Cherry Spot "Bulu Point" Tropheus
Remarks: The Cherry Spot Tropheus is a rather unique and stunning Tropheus. Upon maturity, their bodies are jet black with two large, bright red spots on either side of their bodies owing to their common name. This particular Tropheus is found exclusively in the Bulu Point area in Lake Tanganyika.
Tropheus are obligate herbivores, and even small amounts of protein can induce bloating conditions so they should not be kept requiring high protein diets such as calvus. They form social hierarchies and should be kept in large groups, about 10 or more, to spread out any aggression. Tropheus tend to be more peaceful toward non-conspecific species so they can do well in a large Tanganyikan community tank.
