Remarks: The Maleri Island Peacock may be a form of Aulonocara stuartgranti but this is not yet confirmed. Females are gray, but males have bright yellow bodies with light blue accents in the face and fins. The German strain we offer is has Maleri Island as its locality showing very little to no blue. The "Aquarium strain" has been line-bred to display more blue in the body and gill plates and is unknown as to where the original source was collected from.
