Remarks: Triangle Cichlids (Uaru amphiacanthoides) are fairly peaceful South American cichlids that make excellent tankmates for Severums, Angelfish, and Geophagus. They have round, tan bodies with a tear-drop shaped black spot along their flanks and bright yellow eyes. They care for their young in the same way that discus do by using their body like a living shield and feeding their fry with their slime coat. This has give them the nickname of "the poor man's discus."
