Threadfin Rainbowfish

Remarks: Threadfin rainbowfish were discovered in the 70s in Northern Australia living in flooded rice fields. Males develop long fin extensions, while females have short, round fins. When courting a female or fighting with another male, males will stretch and quiver their long fins in an eye-catching display. To avoid their fins getting damaged, this species should not be kept with nippy fish like danios.
