Satanoperca daemon
Remarks: Satanoperca daemon are closely related to Geophagus species and require a sandy substrate due to their earth-eating habits. S. daemon differ from their relatives, S. leucosticta, by having fewer blue spots on the face and nose. The best way to tell these fish apart from S. jurupari is the presence of two large, black spots on their sides and one at the base of their tails. Their bodies shine a metallic gold and they are fairly peaceful for their size. They have three black spots along their body, and long trailing fins.
