Red Tiger Endler's Livebearer

Remarks: Endlers are a species of livebearer closely related to, and are commonly hybridized with, guppies. They were discovered in 1975 by John Endler in Venezuela where they are now either critically endangered or totally extinct. Some pure strains of endlers exist in captivity, usually described as N class to indicate as such, but most lines are hybrids.Ā

Ā  These fish are almost exactly like guppies in regards to their care in that they are very peaceful and easy to care for. They also do best when kept in a ratio of two females for every male as the males may harass the females to death if there aren't enough to spread his attention. Another option is to keep all males or all females.Ā
