Remarks: Red Pike Cichlids (Crenicichla sp.) are one of the most vibrantly colored Pike Cichlids, with their distinctive red blotches over their gill plates and solid red coloration along their body pending water conditions. They can become very personable over time, begging for food when their owner is near. As they are fairly large predators, they should only be kept with other large species. In fact, this species is considered to be one of the largest and most aggressive species of Crenicichla.
