Pseudotropheus johannii
Remarks: Formerly a member of Melanochromis, Pseudotropheus johannii is a small mbuna that boasts a feisty temper. Males are black with electric blue stripes, much like Maingano cichlids, while females are yellow. Because of their somewhat nasty temperament, we recommend keeping them as a group of one male to 4-6 females in a tank larger than 50 gallons. They are compatible with most mbuna species, provided they don't look too similar.
