Elongatus Jewel Spot
Remarks: The small Elongatus Jewel Spot mbuna, also called Elongatus Neon Spot, were recently reclassified from their original genus, Pseudotropheus. They have long, slender bodies and remain under 4". Males are dark black with bright blue spots along the base of the dorsal fin, while females are blue with more subtle spots in the same locations. We recommend a tank at least 30 gallons, with long tanks more suited for their territorial nature. Provide them with some rocky structures and keep one male to several females, and you will be rewarded with frequent spawns.
