Sunset Hap

Remarks: Dimidiochromis strigatus are large, predatory haps from Malawi that will eat any juvenile fish in the tank. Their mouths are surprisingly large and will easily hold a sub-adult mbuna, for example. They require a large area for swimming, and we recommend at least 100 gallons if you plan to keep one to full adulthood.

Being a large Hap, they take a while to color up. The wait will be rewarded with a bright blue fish with orange and black fins and a gaping mouth.
