Daktari

Remarks: Male Daktari will be bright yellow with black tips on the dorsal fin. Females are more dull yellow in coloration and typically remain smaller. They are fairly easy-going mbuna and should be mixed with species that do not resemble them in color. In the wild, these fish mainly feed on aufwachs and algae so they should be fed a mainly herbivorous diet. Due to their small size and calm demeanor compared to most mbuna, Daktari are a great beginner's mbuna and perfect for smaller mbuna tanks.
