Remarks: Chubby Plecos (Parancistrus aurantiacus) are very unique in that they seemingly have the ability to alter their body color almost at will! While they are currently brown/black, they are known to transform into a yellow/golden color, or a mix of both colors. They have even been known to switch back and forth. It is unknown as to whether this is stress related, dietary, environmental or otherwise.
