Cardinal Tetra

Remarks: Cardinal tetras (Paracheirodon axelrodi) are famous for their small size, bright colors, and sustainable harvesting practices. These fish have significantly more blue and red coloration than neon tetras and are slightly larger in size as well. They work well in large groups, as they will be shy if kept with fewer than 6 individuals. While the captive bred specimens are more hardy, wild caught cardinal tetras are far more sensitive and should not be kept in a pH above 7 or a TDS above 100.
