Remarks: Buccochromis rhoadesii, sometimes called the yellow leptura cichlid, are large and need a lot of space to swim. They are not recommended for tanks smaller than 150 gallons. They are piscivorous and will chase smaller fish to eat. They are found over sandy substrates in Lake Malawi. Some of these have very minor black pigmentation spots. These spots are harmless and are typically associated with diet.
